This fun project is targeted to middle school aged children and makes THEM a “design-build” contractor!  Kids team up to form a company who then work together to budget for, design, and then construct (using arts & crafts supplies, which are provided) a 120 – 180 square foot garden shed.  Minimum building requirements have to be incorporated, and each company’s imaginary budget is $18,000.
